Important notice for visa applicants for Indian citizens

Kindly be informed that given the impact of the on-going global pandemic, the Greek Authorities have applied certain restrictions and conditions regarding the entry of travellers into Greece. According to the latest Regulations Indian citizens and permanent residents of India can enter into Greece. The VACs for Greece will accept visa applications, provided that no further notice on the extension of the entry ban to Greece be issued in the meantime All individuals who wish to travel to Greece must consult the following link and follow the required rules.

Kindly be informed that GVCW New Delhi and Mumbai Visa Application Centres are operating on Monday and Wednesday from 10:00am until 15:00pm to accept visa applications only for the following categories and only under “Prime Time Serviceat an additional cost of 3000 INR upon appointment or by walk-ins strictly on the discretion of the VAC Manager:

  • Schengen C type visa
  • Seafarers, only if they have an invitation from authorised Greek shipping companies and in possession of a valid CDC
  • Long-term, National D type visa for Students, who have received the letter of acceptance from Greek Colleges/Universities.
  • Long-term, National D type visa for Employment workers
  • Long-term, National D type visa for Family Reunification only for 2nd stage – Decision

Our VACs adhere to the highest standards of health and safety based on the recommendations of the World Health Organization and local health authorities: to this end, you will need to self-disclose COVID-19 symptoms, to undergo temperature screening at the entrance of the VAC using non-contact equipment, to wear appropriate mask and be checked contactless by the security service of the VAC. In case you have any symptoms of COVID-19, please, DO NOT visit our VAC. Applicants without mask and applicants with a temperature above 37 degrees Celsius will not be allowed to enter the premises. As the VAC cannot be crowded, you may be asked to wait outside the VAC. While waiting inside, please keep social distance of 2 meters vis-à-vis others. Please note that your appointment slot will be rescheduled to a later date in case you have any COVID-19 symptoms. We suggest you to prepare your application and all necessary documents in advance (click here for more information) to avoid waiting time at the VAC.

Protecting the health of the applicants and our employees during these testing times of the pandemic is of utmost importance. We are following the recommendations of the Health and Governmental authorities and have put in place best practices to minimize the possible exposure of applicants and employees to the coronavirus. Applicants can avoid a return to the VAC and have their passports returned via courier service at an additional cost that will be kept to the minimum.
